Company history

1958, 1974, 1984, 1995, 1997, 2001, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013
Key dates of a continuous development.

  • From the establishment of DITTRICH+CO in 1958 by Rudolf Dittrich and Peter Muschak, the route went with the then products of fashion jewellery, advertising products and household appliances to the first modern new build in 1974.
  • From 1984, the owners turned their attention to demanding technical injection moulding parts. Parts with high-quality, then revolutionary plastics secured the company’s further expansion.
  • In 1995 the company founders’ sons, Armin Dittrich and Andreas Muschak, took over management. Production space was doubled back in 1997 and tripled in 2001.
  • In 2008 the founding date was celebrated for the 50th time on 1 July. With three successful events, the company owners thanked their business partners, employees and friends of DITTRICH+CO and the city of Schwabmünchen.
  • In 2011, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new build of a warehouse and production hall was celebrated at the company’s location in Schwabmünchen. These construction plans were the fifth expansion since the new build of the company and the associated relocation to Krumbacherstrasse. This is the biggest expansion since the company was established in 1958. DITTRICH+CO invested more than two million euros in the buildings and infrastructure. Machine investments in the amount of another two million euros followed. With this move, the family-owned business created ten new jobs, among other things.
  • In 2012 the official inauguration ceremony of the production hall was celebrated on 11 May.
  • In 2013 DITTRICH+CO celebrated 55 successful years.
  • In 2015 machine and plant investments of more than one million euros

More commitment less debate over location

Regarding the company’s opinion on the question about Germany as a place to do business, both managing directors agree:
“DITTRICH+CO has been able to position itself well thanks to its customer proximity and its quick response times, and we also see this as an opportunity for our further future at the Germany site.”
