DITTRICH+CO GmbH & Co. KG takes the protection of private data very seriously. 

Hereby we inform you when we collect which of your data and how we use them. We have taken technical and organisational measures which ensure that we, as well as our contractors and extern service providers observe the data protection regulations. 

Maintaining the confidentiality of the personal data you have provided and protecting them from unauthorized access is not only important to us, but we have regarded it as part of our corporate culture for many decades. Therefore, we train our employees routinely in relation to data protections regulations and have engaged specialist companies to guarantee most modern IT-security technology in order to protect your personal data according to the latest standards. 

As a company under private law we are subject to the regulations of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and to the regulations of the German Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG)). We have taken technical and organisational measures which ensure that the data protection regulations are observed by us, as well as our extern service providers.

Personal data and definitions

‘Personal data’ means any particular information about personal and factual circumstances relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. These include your name, address, telephone number and other contact details. However, information that cannot be connected with your identity, for example, the number of users of the websites, is not classed as personal information. You can use our websites without telling us who you are or providing any personal information. For further data protection definitions please refer directly to the GDPR.

The origin of personal data

As a rule, you provide the personal data we collect yourself. When you send us an email, your email address will be used solely for corresponding with you. If you want to send us information with confidential content, we recommend you to contact us at the fax number: + 49 8232 9971 – 999. When you contact us via email, we will store the data you have provided (i.e.  email address, name and telephone number) for the sole purpose of answering your questions. We delete any data collected in this context as soon as the storage is no longer required or we limit the processing if statutory retention regulations exist.

Collection of personal data when you visit our website and SSL encryption 

When using our website for information purposes only, unless you otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which are technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to guarantee stability and security. Legal basis is Article 6, Section 1, lit. f GDPR. We will store e.g. your IP address, data and time of the request, time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), content of the request (specific page), access status/HTTP status code, amount of data transferred in each case, website from which the request comes, browser, operating system and its interface, as well as the language and version of the browser software. This data transfer takes place as standard and we don’t use it for web analysis. Additionally, we have secured our site with SSL technology so that no danger can arise from our websites for your IT environment.


When you visit our website, temporary cookies are placed. These so-called session cookies enable the functionality of the website. They do not contain personal data and automatically expire at the end of the session. 

Most browsers are adjusted to accept cookies automatically. However, you can deactivate the saving of cookies or adjust your browser to inform you as soon as cookies have been sent. Technologies like Java-Applets or Active-X-Controls, which allow to track users' access behaviour, are not used on this website.

Protection of minors

Children and people under 18 years should not transfer any personal data to us without the approval of their parents or guardians. We do not request any personal data from children, do not collect them and do not pass them on to third parties. If you are interested in an apprenticeship or a traineeship, please contact us using the given telephone number, so we get into a conversation with the legal guardian.

Links to other websites 

Our websites may contain links to other websites. We cannot influence their operators to comply with the data protection regulations. 

Exclusion of liability/Liability for own content

Our websites have been created with utmost care and their content has been checked accurately. However, we assume no liability for the completeness of the content, editorial and technical errors or the currency of information on the websites. Should you note any inconsistencies in the content posted on our website pertaining to laws and regulations, official notices and recommendations, as well as all other information, however, the sole authoritative text is the currently applicable version published in the relevant official organ. Recommendations and information relating to legal matters shall be non-binding; we provide no legal advice.

Furthermore no responsibility and no liability whatsoever can be accepted for any damage or consequential damage arising from the use of the information provided. There shall neither be any liability for any damage caused as a result of computer viruses or malware through the accessing or downloading of data, or through the installation or use of software. 

We reserve the right to add, revise, or delete the contents of our websites at any time with or without notice.

DITTRICH+CO GmbH & Co. KG cannot influence in any way contents linked from other providers. 

In providing an external link DITTRICH+CO GmbH & Co. KG possibly conveys the access to the use of these contents (§ 8 German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz)). It is not liable for these "external contents" since it does not initiate the transmission of the information, does not select the addressee of the transmitted information and has neither selected or changed the transmitted information. Furthermore an automatic buffer storage of this ”outside information“ is not carried out by DITTRICH+CO GmbH & Co. KG due to the selected invocation and linking method so that thereby no liability arises for DITTRICH+CO GmbH & Co. KG for these external contents. 

Before links to internet offers provided by other suppliers are implemented into the website, we carefully verify the external contents as to whether they might trigger any possible civil or criminal liability. 

At the time links were created the respective websites were checked for possible infringement of civil or criminal law and obvious content errors. None of them was identified at the time links were created. The content of external websites can be changed at any time without our knowledge. For this reason, we cannot assume any responsibility or liability for materials available at linked sites. 

Moreover, a permanent control of the contents of the linked websites is not viable.

The copyright and intellectual property rights for all texts, graphics and pictures in particularly lie with DITTRICH+CO GmbH & Co KG unless otherwise noted. 

The copying, processing, distribution and any kind of exploitation of graphics, pictures, audio documents, video sequences and texts outside the limits of copyright require the written consent of DITTRICH+CO GmbH & Co. KG. Third party contents require as well the written authorization by the respective author, photographer or creator.

Error messages/Notices of legal infringements 

DITTRICH+CO GmbH & Co. KG asks to be informed in case our websites refer to contents which give cause for complaint or are even illegal. In the case of potential copyright violations, we also kindly request that you inform us at the indicated contact address. 

The same applies in the event that if any of our own content is out-of-date, not state of the art, incomplete or unintelligible. As soon as we are informed about errors or made aware of any legal infringement, we will promptly remove such contents.
